Meet Jermaine J. Jones, Servant
Jermaine Jones is the Founder of Brothers Making a Difference (B.M.A.D), a nonprofit organization aimed at enriching the lives of youth and adults academically, culturally and professionally. Growing up in Irvington, NJ Jermaine witnessed his parents’ physical, mental and financial turmoil, as is the case with many of the youth he serves today.
Struggling to find his purpose, Jermaine accepted an opportunity to work as a mentor with the Big Brothers, Big Sisters Organization, which he did for thirteen years. Jermaine’s mentoring catalyzed using his challenges and life lessons as a tool to motivate his men-tees. It was then that his gift to motivate, inspire and uplift was discovered, giving birth to the formation of Brothers Making a Difference.
Jermaine understands that children in urban areas are no different than him. Their struggles are common, and all they need is someone who cares enough to show them that there is, indeed, a way out. Through his organization, Jermaine has found a way to connect, give back and positively impact the lives of every individual he encounters through community service events and motivational workshops.
Today, Brothers Making a Difference is quickly becoming a well-known organization throughout the state of New Jersey, and beyond, as Jermaine and his team continue to fulfill and expand his vision via speaking at schools, conducting leadership/professional development seminars and keynotes. Jermaine continues to inspire all with his upbeat personality and the genuine will to make a positive impact and change the lives of everyone he meets.
To date, Jermaine has provided dynamic workshops and keynotes for the likes of Humana, Eastern Standard Restaurants, and Barclays, as well as numerous organizations throughout the tri-state and surrounding areas.
"Sometimes all we need is an inspiration," and Brothers Making a Difference is truly providing that inspiration."
